From the CIMF Website:
Australian visual artist, curator and writer Imants Tillers has been at the forefront of contemporary art for over three decades and has realised some of the more monumental visual compositions in Australia. The music by composer and writer Rosalind Page moves seamlessly between acoustic and electronic realms, creating interconnections across sound, image and text. Her series of compositions Being and Time draws its inspiration from Heidegger’s Sein und Zeit. On this occasion all three works of the cycle are performed, each taking its title from Tillers’ paintings in the Diaspora series: ‘Lacrymae Rerum’, ‘Tabula Rasa’ and ‘Paradiso’. Cellist Geoffrey Gartner, clarinettist Jason Noble and pianist Gabi Sultana perform Page’s ‘Being and Time’ I, II and III.
